This
vintage Portland Heights triplex was built in 1906, and has been lovingly
and carefully restored. Located in the heart of “The Heights”,
it is just minutes to walk to Downtown, Portland State University, or the
Northwest 23rd shopping district. This quiet neighborhood features homes
on the Historic Building registry, wide sidewalks for strolling, and many
large, beautiful heritage trees.
Each
flat occupies an entire floor of the house, and are approximately 1600
square feet (see floor plan). The flats feature hardwood floors throughout,
French doors, built-in china cabinets, original (re-wired) light fixtures
and wall sconces, high ceilings and original fir baseboard, door and
window trims. Many of the windows have been replaced with new double
paned casement windows, again in keeping with the original style.
Each Bathroom has been completely renovated while keeping the vintage
feel of the house in mind. Nickel plumbing fixtures, custom ceramic tile,
marble, lighting, woodwork and bead board all lend to the “old” feel
yet bring these bathrooms into the 21st century.
The kitchens have been renovated as well, and feature new ceramic tile counters, all new plumbing, electric, stoves and garbage disposals. The original clear vertical grain fir plank floors have been refinished.
There are two Bedrooms in each flat, they are light, airy and spacious,
with plenty of closet space and storage. Each has cable and telephone
connections.
Adjacent to the large Dining Room, and overlooking the backyard, urban
forest and partial views of the city, is the Sun Room. Featuring oversized
leaded glass windows, this room would serve perfectly as a breakfast
room, library, office, retreat or playroom.
Each flat is ready to rent for $1500 per month.
